Jeter is off to a slow slow start. :(

.231 .282 .415

Even Reyes of the Mets last season got on base more frequently!

Edmonds, who Jack took off me, seems to be doing pretty well for Jack though ...

I stole Jimmy Rollins and he has a .554 SLG and 4 SBs. :D

Jeep, you're killing me with Vargas..

Edmonds is off to a decent start, AT...the bigger concern is Bay, who is homerless in PNC and elsewhere...it's a tough park for him but I was expecting at least a HR every 15 games or so... Especially since he's one of the few players on the team who should be able to handle Vargas--who seems to pitch against me every night!

[quote:3b29e822db]Sandy's steal from me, Pete Walker, has beaten me and has excellent numbers I've noticed.

He's about the one positive on my team so far, despite the jeering I got after his "steal".

I am still missing my hitter in the middle though.

Jeters SLG has fallen, but at least his OBP is over .300 now and his BA is closer to .250 than the Mendoza line. But I suppose I cannot complain too much since Jeter is still performing better than Jeeps team on average.

My team, other than Jeter obviously, certainly is slugging at a good rate as we're on pace to hit over 350 HRs.

Sure guys -- just keep chatting on THIS thread where my team stinks -- meanwhile in Jeep's OTHER theme league -- the WC league -- the thread remains dormant as I actually have a GOOD team there.

I'm not in that league. ;)

Then again I never did good in the WC format (never got a team above .500 in 3-4 attempts) so I'll probably keep avoiding that theme like the plague

I'm surprised my offense is next to last in the league. I'm assuming some of it is Yankee Stadium, as I normally play in more hitter friendly parks. A HR is 10/10 but I don't think I'm getting 50% HR's. Maybe the odds will even up.

OTOH, my pitching is performing well. I thought it would be a strength, but leading the league in ERA is a little bit of a surprise.

Jeep, don't feel too bad - I'm last in runs scored. Lee with 2 HR's and .411 slg??? What's up with that?? In WRIGLEY!!

At least you're 1st in pitching. My team can't do that well either.
