So, Is there a minimum ammount on payroll we have to have in order for TSN to let a card be drafted?

I believe that in 80 Mil leagues you can't fill a valid card with less than 60 Mil.

Anyone knows if the same applies to 200 Mil, is it higher, lower, not existant...

Ok,

I have to go, no access to draft site until late at night. If i can i will dash to the office to add some. I have 24 proxies left, if I run out then just skip me senseless.

BTW, Cubey, I agree 100% with you as I believe Qk's proposal and assesment of the situation was right on the money, at least [i:32b5dc3af2]my[/i:32b5dc3af2] decision to change came from concern of "Where do you draw the line?" if in order to balance things because an upcoming draft is too rich then drafting procedures are changed how can we stop this from happening 2 years from now when because of some twilight reason all stars and studs go duds and an unbelievable crop of rookie players come up to the bigs, are we really going to tell then to the stinker of a team that has just lost 100 games or more (probably my team) that just because we want to keep it competitive we will distribute picks in a pre draft where the order is randomized? Its essentially the same situation. If we do it now we could do it then and [i:32b5dc3af2]that[/i:32b5dc3af2] would be really unfair.

So, I hope my reversing my vote did not upset anyone, as I said before from a purely selfish pov I'd go ahead with the change but I feel this is better in the long run.

Very good question Chuck! :?

Meanwhile, talk about Deja Vu!

Here we are stuck on AFD again.

I'm not sure, but if I was gone ALL weekend (thus freezing out a draft), I think I find a way to make sure that I had enough proxies to last a loooooonnnnnggg while.

Meanwhile, the only one of my proxies to go in the last 12 or so picks was Cuddyer 2 spots before I was gonna snag him.
While I'm glad my proxy list is intact, I'm thinking I should be targeting some other guys if no one wants the ones I have targeted.

Chuck, just a counterpoint to your argument above. We'll never have an FA draft as rich as the 2008 one. It has nothing to do with the quality of players that come up at any given time, it is 100% a result of what players are included as FAs now vs. in the 2008 FA draft.

According to our current structure, the only time rookies for a given season will not be available in the prospect draft prior to a season is this one. 2007 rookies are automatically converted into 2008 FAs. THIS WILL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN. The richness of the 2008 FA draft will not be repeated for that reason. There are exceptions to every rule, and while normally I would never argue for changing the rules during a draft, I think it's warranted in this case.

I think most of you know me. I'm not one to be an unnatural pain in the a$$ or unreasonable. I also feel very bad for KD because it puts him in an awkward position, and I feel worse because KD very graciously came to me (& others) for advice before starting this league, and I think we could have avoided this scenario if I had been paying more attention to the revised rules that were posted.
