Jeep,

Hopefully you won't spiral like we did. Managed to win a series last night, but again, couldn't close out a win in the game that would have given us a sweep. Carrasco blows a save against the likes of Iguchi, Orr and Furcal. At least the HR he gave up was to Dunn.

Guess we should have made the move for Hawkins earlier, he's been perfect for us. He's even gotten a couple of RHB out! Go figure. He's been better than Madson (.357), Smoltz (.300) or Hermanson (.282)

We did win a one run game however!!!!

Swept again. :( Friggin' ridiculous. 2-2 game, Kent hits a HR and Hal, the idiot, pulls Smoltz for Flores despite the slow hook. Flores get Martinez, but hal brings in Madson to face Ordonez despite the fact that there are more LHB to face after. Needless to say, sterling players like Erstad, Podsednik, Clark and Crosby get on before the real hitters come up and completely blast Madson to smithereens. Classic Hal. Final is 13-5 thanks to Hal's brilliance.

Meanwhile Carrasco's ERA nears 4.0 and we get 5 hit by Elmer Dessens
despite throwing 6 LHB at him. This team has no guts what-so-ever.

Did I mentin that Kent hit 4 HRs in PNC? :x Yeah, it's a RHB park all right. Meanwhile all our LHB hit a total of 1 HR.

Joe, that's some amazing stuff going on there. Next thing you'll tell us will be that Rafael Belliard came out of retirement and had a 2 homer game against you. :?

Meanwhile I have the hottest of the hot Shrinks on the ole schedule 2nite. After his sweep last night we have identical records. I'm still w/o Giambi for 5 more games, I've been treading water 'till his return...so tonight we need some folks to step it up a notch. GL Sandy. May it be a great series with no injuries for either of us. 8)

Jeep,

Yeah, wouldn't surprise me at this rate. Maybe this team *is* this bad. Anyone do a sim? I'm just shocked at the complete lack of power and how we have not a single player out performing his card.

Usually you have a couple guys doing better than expected and a few really stinking and a few about what you'd expect.

Oh well, we did win the only one run game tonight to avoid a sweep.

The other two were run of the mill losses. We hit 2 HRs, he hits 6. Gosh, I guess this team doesn't have any power. I *thought* it did, but what did I miss? :? :?:

Oh well, A Rod here we come!

Well I'm getting concerned at my slump now, Sandy took care of me pretty good last night. Even though a couple of games were close we did get shutout twice.

Funny, I had a great night overall for my teams (18-9) but this one got swept.

Power outage?

Postby Semper Gumby » Mon Sep 04, 2006 10:13 am

Hell .... anyone seen my monsters swing the bat as of late?

I think Ichiro has more HRs than 75% of my batters.

Very disappointed with R. Winn (he ain't even close to his card); second outing with DeJesus and he isn't doing much better than the last outing; Lofton is good for the price -

Turnbow has put the stride back in the bullpen and Haren can't find a lucky break anywhere.

I am sure tha QK did at least one for the league Joe.

I have to say, that I am very happy with the production I have been getting out of my rag-tags. They have made my rejoining the NLD a very pleasurable experience indeed! :)

Award Voting

Not sure why Mauer ain't getting the love from HAL?!!?

Joe success versus RHPs is incredible but HAL can't toss him a vite for the the All-Star team or even the Silver Slugger award. :(
