Netplay III

Guys, I know this may have been answered earlier, but when I make my supplemental pick this year, does that person become a member of my 40 man roster for 2005? Or will I have to spend a pick for the following season to retain their services. Im really curious about this before I make my pick.

You can cut or keep your non-franchise supplemental first-phase pick next year. The number of draft picks you get depends on the number of players you drop. If you drop your supplemental phase I (non-franchise FA), you will get to pick one in the draft (unless your record is below .500, in which case you get two).

Multi carded players

Postby aceventura55369 » Thu Jul 13, 2006 7:48 pm

I see some potential conflicts with these cards and think we should not use them at all. Please speak up if you were planning on using a multi carded player. SOM has already placed the multicarded players on the team they had more AB's/IP with and I believe that team should have the rights to the player.

Another reason not to use them is a team who made a trade could use all players involved in the trade.

Ace, are you going to send out a player pool for the second phase of the draft (after, of course, you have all the cuts)? Is the draft order for this phase the same, or does it start with No. 10 in the phase 1 draft?

Mullti cards

Postby aceventura55369 » Thu Jul 13, 2006 8:57 pm

A couple of people have informed me that they planned on using multi cards. So I have a compromise just for this year, going forward we'll only use Major league cards to keep things simple.

First, the players belong to the team for whom they have a Major league card. The manager of that team can use the multicard until it runs out of AB's/IP and then switch to the Major league card less the other AB/IP used, at no time can both cards be on the roster at the same time.

I apologize for not seeing this conflict earlier and hope this solution works for everyone.
