You can get players from other teams, but only in a trade, not as a FA. An example: If I decide not to use Clemens (Ha! Ha!), I could trade him to glenglen for Speaker (not likely).

You guys are too darn fast! I missed my top 2 picks (Banks and Mantle) by split seconds and had to make a fast recovery to grab Rizzuto, Maris and Murphy (which was my fall-back position). I'm just glad my 4 teams gave me some pitching b/c I didn't have time to search for hurlers.

I desperately wanted Banks for my Boston Brigade... and so he was the very first frenzy attempt... was excited I got him.

I didn't go with Fenway 67, because in a 100M league I think any/all piutching staffs would get crushed there over a full season... and so went after the HR 1-18 in Huntingdon.... I notice a couple of RH-friendly ballparks in the league... Bennett09, Shibe50, always find them interesting too.
