bbw DID state in his buck oneil rule plus j/d/r...that first names count too. right?
also, catchers decade can be seperate from infield, yes?

okay, I see now where it did ORIGINALLY say LAST name to earn points in buck oneil jdr. any chance we can loosen this rule to make it a little easier to get points, and include first initial of first name too. there are still gonna be plenty of desireable players who won't earn you ANY points. this rule is gonna be hard enough to comply with without making it MORE restrictive. I'd still take hornsby, but I'd like to atleast get ONE point outa the guy. with the monarchs and negro leaguers snatched except for the one per team allotment, it means 21 of your remaining 25 guys are gonna have to AVERAGE getting you a rule 7 point apiece just to be in compliance. first names too foggy? PLEASE!!! :cry:
this rule is harder to deal with than the color barrier! :wink:

here's a qucik, SHORT list of names which wold STILL earn you zero rule 7 points, even if first name counted also.
mickey mantle, stan musial, ted williams, al simmons, tris speaker....
lou gehrig would get you one point if first names counted...
