I think since we are starting this in 2002, ALL players must be carded in 2002.
This person then has more $ to manueuver with in the AD because of it.
If I'm trying to build a ball club and I draft 5 or 6 out of 10 players NOT carded till 2003 and beyond this kind of makes it unfair during the AD and frenzy afterward.
I really think it's an unfair advantage.

The rule is ambigous on whether its OK to draft someone who doesn't have a card, but it also seems clear that the intent was that we'd all draft players who have '02 cards. Some look at ambiguities like this and say "hey, aren't I smart to have found this loophole", but I think most look at it and say "hey guys, let's play within the spirit of the game." I fall into that latter group, but its up to geekor to let us know if he intended for that loophole to exist or not, and I suggest that we hold up the draft going forward until he makes his ruling. If indeed he intended we pick players from the '02 deck, let the guys who drafted incorrectly repick before we go on. If the picks are legit, then we just go on with that new knowledge.

I disagree. more available dollars, but where/how to spend if cream has been skimmed.

Woo hoo for 2006 set BUT< i wsted a pick in at least 2-3 other years. That's my choice and whether that would be a smart play is debatable.
