In thinking about it, had the A's displaced the Braves in the 12th spot and gotten the three picks in the same position they would be formidable indeed, IMHO.

yeah, but Dharmas got a really good starting staff put together with Maddux, W. Johnson, Spahn, Niekro, etc....

and he still has one more hitting stud he can pick up to go with Chipper, Aaron, Mathews, and Wells.

so, who knows...

He sure does; I was in no way diminishing the Braves, who'll be very strong; I was only pointing out that the A's had some amazing talent interspersed with some awfully lousy teams.

Sisler is not a bad consolation selection!!! He's going to love batting in front of Waner, Stargell and Kiner.
