rule change issue

Postby qksilver69 » Thu Jun 08, 2006 9:36 am

AFD, everyone. Let me explain about the rule "change" for the prospect draft. It's not really a change, it's a correction.

All along in my head I thought I had posted that the stadium draft was random & that the prospect draft was inverse order of the initial draft. Then it was brought to my attention yesterday that I [b:1002189445]hadn't[/b:1002189445] posted that, in fact by accident I had posted the [b:1002189445]opposite[/b:1002189445]. My bad, 100%.

That said, I really do want to stick with that original idea. It penalizes me since I'll have the last pick & I am obviously going to look to trade up, but at the same time I do think it is fair. If you guys really want to vote on it or like AFD feel strongly that it's not the right move, let me know here & we'll move forward.

Thx & apologies for the misunderstanding.

Qk

KD -- you might be right -- that it might be the other thread -- BUT that is not the post. There was one where he actually said something like, "I LIKE that, I don't know why, but I just do"

I feel like I am losing my mind.

I know I can be aa hot head and impulsive, and you know there is NO WAY I would want to leave this league, but I also don't like for anyone to think I am a liar (not that Beach was insunuating that -- I just overreacted as per usual).

I think the first order of business Qk is getting NHStephen's situation straightened out. He has players that he'll have to drop - players that others may want. How do we correct this? Trades? Drops? Repicks?

As far as the prospect draft goes, since there was no specified draft order process given, I think it's only fair to put it to a vote -

I agree that the first thing is to get the Steven situation addressed.

As far as my above nonsense, when will I EVER learn. I just need to keep my stupid mouth shut!

It was NOT a [b:696364a76c]Cu[/b:696364a76c]bit post, it was a [b:696364a76c]Cu[/b:696364a76c]mmings2 post that I was referring too. I am SUCH an idiot. Like the Boy who crys wolf 8000 times, all I can say is I am sorry for the 8000th time.

This was the post I was referring too btw:[quote:696364a76c]Cummings2

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Oddly enough, I am up for 5 prospects...I love that side of this concept.

The way I see it, research is not that hard to do, and organizations are so deep that there's plenty of talent...anyway the way I see it you can do all your research, get the next hot-stud prospects, fresh out of college or high-school, all the talk of town...and in a year's time they've been buried in their organization due to DUIs and the latest influx 16 year old wiz-kids from latin America, there's just no way of telling.

So, my point is that there is no rush to complete those quick and easy 5 rounds, research is easily available in the .net so, I say what's the problem-o?

Could it be possible to have a "floating" number of prospects, that is from 3 to 5? or at least 1 max 5?

Whatever you guys choose I'lll be cool with, but I think it's a really nice aspect of this league. I am voting YES, but I'm a cool dude Alles gut.

Gotta love family squabbles. :D :D

This is going to be a fun league. I'm really looking forward to the next couple of years as things play out.

NHS's team, prospect draft

Postby qksilver69 » Thu Jun 08, 2006 10:09 am

I agree that getting NHS's team legal is our top priority. I have exchanged emails with him in league email & not sure why he has not posted back here yet but I am hoping he'll do so soon.

From what I see he has to draft 1 true RP & 2 catchers. I will hold off on making my last pick until he gets here so he can do add/drops.

In the meantime, can we vote on the prospect draft?

So far we have 1 aye (me) and 1 nay (AFD).

[b:e351089e38]Prospect draft in inverse order of initial draft?[/b:e351089e38]

Ayes 1
Nays 1

And I agree wholeheartedly with Stoney, despite a few hiccups I think this is going to be an excellent league.
