2006 LOTO Tournament Round I League B

Run differential over lottery pick. Or best record v. teams in division, another way TSN uses as a tiebreaker.

[quote:231a2c01f1="robvoz"]Because there is no head to head and because they have played in different leagues, I think runs scored or run differential wouldn't be a fair way to decide either. I would imagine that lottery pic 3 might be the best solution, but I am definitely open to other suggestions. Robert[/quote:231a2c01f1]

Wait, I'm confused. I thought there would be 6 teams from each of the 4 leagues moving on. Within each league there would be the head-to-head tiebreaker and the fun differential tiebreaker.
Are you saying that the top 24 records move on without regard of the league they are in (i.e. 7 teams from A, 5 teams from B, 7 teams from C, and 5 from D)?? That seems a little odd considering we're comparing teams without common opponents. :? :?

Run differential is a good gauge.

[quote:70ce556292="ArrylT"]The 2nd round will take the 6 best records(Using the usual tiebreakers if necessary)from League A and B to form the 1st 12 team League in the 2nd round. The 2nd 12 team league will be comprised of the 6 best records from Leagues C and D. [/quote:70ce556292]

Here it is straight from the rules. There will be 6 teams from each of the 4 leagues that move on.

Randy, thanks for pulling that out and pasting. That is what I thought. In that case, the tiebreakers shouldn't be an issue unless it gets to the third tiebreaker which is almost impossible.
I think a good 3rd tiebreaker would be to take the total head to head cumulative runs scored. Highest run total moves on.

Won 6 of 9 while I was away to force a 3 way tie in the West - still a lot of ball playing to go though! :)

I have a +9 run differential but have a record of 8-16. What gives? I lead the league in BA and SB and am in the upper half of pitching. I don't get it.

Took 2 of 3 from robvoz to inch back over .500 ... now playing a "sorta" home series since I am the visiting team in Rogers Centre, which of course is also my home park.
