2 1/2 Team Theme League Draft in progress

I admit, I don't get what the original issue really was, an order is an order. It's tough to lose the number 1 pick of any round (whether it's the 3rd or not) - I'll likely end up 12th tomorrow night the way things work.

Hate to see Ducapa drop at this point. I'm in another league similar to this with him and he makes a league interesting with trades and such. A good and fair competitor. Hopefully he'll reconsider (he's got a good combo with Tampa/Atlanta).

you guys are right we should have had the draft order ready to go - Delbird's point.. I did not anticipate moving through rounds 1 and 2 so quickly to be honest.. so I just figured we would do the lottery draft on the night we finished round 2.. Did not anticipate the problem and should not of made the draft order dependant on a midnight deadline.. I did make an honest mistake... thanks for your understanding.. We are doing the right and most fair thing now... we will use Saturdays lottery numbers to set the draft order for round 3..

I do not like the aggregate salary draft order because there are so many things that are not taken into account using that approach.. the aggregate salary approach articifically inflates teams that have a lot of 0.5 players too high... also it does not measure how well your impact players are spreadout.. what good is it to have 5 $6 million 1b's.. you can only play one at a time with a DH.. (maybe trade bait) but you get the point..

didin't read where ducapa was dropping? where was that written? I think there are very few players on these half teams to get everyone so worked up about. Maybe a hitter here, a pitcher there - i dunno, but if one of us is depending on THIS pick to make thier team, I see trouble! Well, good luck to all,

2cityfan - if I don't end up with the round 3 #1 pick again tomorrow night, I will expect you to accept a trade offer of Shawn Chacon for CC Sabathia, for pain and suffering. :wink: That would make me feel less stressed....

I think Ducapa editted that as I was sending my message - which was good, no need for anyone to drop, the league will be fun. You never know - the final piece to someone's team puzzle could be on one of these rosters. I just liked seeing that I finally had the #1 pick in a draft - even though it was round 3.

i could use a starting "*" pitcher and a SS. Anyone have any they are willing to trade? Have some pretty good relief pitchers that could be available, oh, and Randy Winn :)--also a couple of catchers that mite be available.

The only way I'd trade AROD is if he fails a drug test, but that wouldn't happen..... :lol: I'm sure there will be lots of trading in this league which will add to the fun - time to start scouting rosters.

oh, i do have some non "*" pitchers available - like Barry Zito, Johnathan Sanchez, Pat Misch, Justin Masterson, Josh Beckett and Tim Wakefield.
