Almost Pre-Card Draft

Yeah I'm just curious to see where they price Jones. I think offense in CF is overrated - as long as your lineup goes 7 decent bats vs RH & LH, it doesn't matter to me so much where the offense comes from, so if you figure in most cases SS no offense, 2B little offense, and CF hit or miss, you still have the corner positions + C to make your offense work.

And jeez, I am so tired of not being able to get David Ortiz in any pre-card drafts this year. I think I am going to love Clark's card, have him on all my pre-card teams now, but the low ABs suck. I just don't know that we will have seen a cleanup hitter card better than Ortiz's this year. His OBP is good, but not so high that you'd be forced to bat him 3rd like I feel when I have Bonds on a team....

Qk - Hafner's card is as good as Ortiz except he is sometimes instead of rarely...

Yeah, but Clark is rarely, 2/12, right? I know Haf's card looks good too, maybe not quite as strong vs LH, but I hate to have my top hitter be an injury guy....

Shi*t, that sucks. He was never injured in 2005, he just was not an everyday player. Dammit I woulda taken Hafner, oh well....at least he'll be cheaper...

Hawk - Where are you? Are you OK? It is very odd that he would make one pick and not make a second. He's also up in another precard and holding that up as well. I hope nothing happened.

My hunch is that he had proxies set and only one was left when his turn came up.

Not sure, but I am guessing his Giles pick was his last proxy.

Anyway, if MrBBW is around, he can pick, Hawk's clock has expired & he took my pick too so I am not feeling charitable.... :roll:
