Diamond Dope 2010 style

Postby MEAT » Sun Mar 06, 2011 10:15 pm

proxy system [u:cf4503b9cb][b:cf4503b9cb]is[/b:cf4503b9cb][/u:cf4503b9cb] awesome, but also prone to user error. thankfully the commish was pre-occupied, I actually made my pick by proxy hours ago, but when I realized I had someone better rated lower, was able to drop without approval being needed. my proxy cupboard was SERIOUSLY raided though...maybe that's what happened to commish.

Reminder

Postby nymets99 » Mon Mar 07, 2011 8:35 am

[quote:4e35328952="Cubit"]Well, I tried again and elected not to attempt to ask our colleague RedO to give up his pick, even though I picked him at #12 and was able to post a pick of Wainwight, the player who was third on my SP list at the beginning of the draft and to whom I referred in my note above.

Would someone PLEASE check the site and tell me that you see Wainwright in my slot? I cannot trust my eyes since I saw Longria in that slot this afternoon....

THANK YOU>[/quote:4e35328952]

Sorry , i wasnt on the site all day yesterday ( very busy with the honey-do list!!) I will be putting the clock on at 9:00 am est. remember that the clock is off after 10:00 p.m whether I have changed the clock or not. Please do not skip picks after 10:00 p.m Proxies do not automatically skip a players spot.

Waiting around for RedOrko

Postby dharmabums » Mon Mar 07, 2011 10:02 am

Anybody know what time zone he lives in? Now that the clock is on, I'm getting the PICK NOW notice on the DD. How long should I wait? :?

Just a thought on this.

I sent Dan an email on this, and hopefully he will be picking shortly.

Perhaps,[b:1b20c0c271] for this round only,[/b:1b20c0c271] we can set a "one-hour" grace period within the clock period before jumping in with our picks?

And if the clock goes on at 9 (it was put on much earlier from what I see), then Orkos deadline is actually [i:1b20c0c271]Noon Eastern[/i:1b20c0c271]. Correct?

Commissioner, can you fix the clock again, perhaps, or clarify this?

That was what I was thinking. At least until noon eastern.

Can we do whatever we have to do to get this draft moving please?! :D

I don't believe in skipping people though. Having said that, we should be able to do much better than what we've done.

clock on dd is actually central time ,. so it will be 11:00 dope time = 12 est. At that time dharmabums is allowed to select his pick.

If I'm not around when my pick is up and it goes the full time limit, I EXPECT to be skipped.

Plain and Simple.

Hate to sound cold hearted here and I do hate skipping people, but rules are rules.

Dan, where you be?

Postby artie4121 » Mon Mar 07, 2011 11:04 am

I've got to agree with the last three posters. Proxies are available -- and as deep as you'd like to make them -- and after much delay over the weekend, if the flag drops on the timeclock, we should be able to move on.

I sent another message to Dan . . .
