I'll be travelling tomorrow, so I need a bit of time to come up with a theme for Event 7. I'll have something for you guys probably on Sunday.

I know I've already come up with a rule, and the ramifications of this one may not work well, but.....
what do you all think about a rule that says the only carded players eligible for your team are players who played their entire career with your franchise---if players carded to your franchise had one AB or IP with another team, then they CANNOT play for your franchise under any circumstances. SO.....JoeD & Gehrig would be eligible to play for the Yankees, but not the Babe or MAris. Babe COULD play for Red Sox or Braves, and MAris could play for Cards, A's...but not for the Yankees

very verbose, and maybe not explained well.............

I have not done any research on this at all, but......

If this is the rule, then someone else needs to go through EVERY player to determine those players. I personally am not going to research every Yankee to see if they are disqualified PLUS then having to research year by year to find the players carded to othe teams who become eligible for them.

Rule is very interesting, but the amount of work involved is daunting to say the least.

Andy, I like this idea for a rule because it will mix the player up among franchises. Novie, I understand your concern about researching all the players.

It sounds like some of the managers have made fairly detailed lists of the players available to each franchise. I have a fairly complete list for the White Sox. If there are other lists out there and we have good information on each franchise, then that might make the job a little easier for everyone.
Does anyone else have lists of players for any of the franchises? Would people be willing to share? (I would).

Also, Andy what would you do for someone like Willie Mays (Giants and Mets?)

I posted stats for season 3 on the archives thread.

only eligible career players on the roster

I will go along with crowd on this one, but I am concerned about the amount of required research to make this work, and there is a strong posibility a team may not have a single viable player eligible at some positions..

Need to understand the rules a little better on this one....
