My Pittsburgh boys are doing o.k., but really got hurt without Collins for the last 6. Now he's back, YA! :D

Hmmm ... and here I thought I had a team that would play well at home ... :?

Season is about 2/3rds complete now - still have a team with a better road record than home record ... Joe Morgan has been really lousy as of late it seems! :x

Swept again at home & 8 losses in a row pretty much eliminates any playoff hope I had ... will just have to do my best to play spoiler & avoid 100 losses. :(

Sorry about the thumpin' I put on you last night Arryl. By the way, if you want to lose 100 games, you'll have to really try harder. My team in the NL 3-team was a lot worse then your Dragons, and they only lost 97 games.

I just swept but lost Wagner for 15, AAARGH! Had to make a move again. I hate injuries.

I'm scratching my head about your move. It's true that the new Bancroft is good, and Abbatichio has a solid OBP (even if his defense stinks). But with Crosetti backing up Honus, I'd have gone with Cro during the 15 game injury and waited to get Honus back. Even with the injury bug, he is still one of the best hitting SS in the game. And Cro is a better glove as SS than Bancroft (even if he isn't much of a hitter).

Didn't think I could go 15 without some kind of offense at ss. Especially at this point in the season where I'm a few games out of the WC. 15 games is a looooong time, Crosseti hits like crapola and I have trouble scoring runs as it is. Thanks for your opinion though.

No problem. I can understand your position. I guess that's the risk with certain players. You had two on your roster to start the season: Wagner and Eddie (the former ironman) Collins. I'd put Campy in that category too. If you can avoid the injuries, they're solid. But sometimes, you can have a season where they are spending more time in the trainer's room than on the field.

I hate injuries and would never have drafted two injury prone 15 game risks up the middle. Oh well, I like making moves anyway, so hopefully it works out and I can make a run. You never know.
