Big A, Congrats on the Champs!

Stoney, Always in the 7th? What I'm asking is under what conditions do you want Hal to bring the setup guy in?

Tieing run on deck? At the plate, on base. Always in the 7th with a lead < 5 runs?

See what I mean?

Thanks,

Jet
Big M is up. It remains to be seen if he's still awake however. ;)

Well, it's 12:30 am tomorrow in england so I'm guessing Big M has gone to bed (although he does appear to be a late bird)

Anyone care to comment on Setup guys?

Jet
p.s. added a couple of proxies just in case.

R2's closer is rated for 6 outs

I would like to see my setup man starting in the 6th. After my SP has reached his POW. (if his card improves the SP or previous relievers card) I would like my setup guy utilized from down one run to up three runs.

If the closer is rated for <6 outs only i would delay these entry points by one IP.

The idea for me is that the setup is the bridge to the closer. If they broke the setup box in the manager UI into the specific innings (instead of grouping them) I think that would help. I also think it would help to be able to specify 6 out closers for the 8th and 9th

Thanks Smoke.

I think closers are going to be limited to the 9th and setup to the 7th-8th. But there will be lots of other categories. So it sounds like you want the setup coming in almost no matter what in the 7th? That would give you very few complete games. What about if your SP is on Slow Hook?

Hey NP,

Nice pics. I assume that ugly guy in the Mets jacket is you? Good thing your kids took after their Mom! ;)

Interesting, I have a lot of the same pictures from our trip to NYC a few years back. My kids were a little older, but....

Thanks for sharing,

[b:2b36c6e150]Qksilver[/b:2b36c6e150] is up.

I'm suprosed I landed Ludwick, thought of my proxies he'd be the first to go. Oh well, looks like we'll try to play long ball.

Jet,

The complete games should come when the SP does not reach his POW or the lead is greater than 3 runs. The CG is a dying art anyway. Slow hook should allow your SP to pitch beyond his POW if there is not better reliever to come in.

just my two pennies.

Well, Chipper & Markakis were my 2 proxies, of course both go right before my turn. Oh well. I can live with Chase as a consolation prize I guess....

You wouldn't have gotten Markakis, as I had him listed before Ludwick.

I've emailed ArrylT to let him know we've started and that he's up, hopefully we can make some progree today.

The Clock will start once the 1st round has ended.
