"Fast Six III" League Chat

After the usual top 5 or 6 guys go, it tends to open up quite a bit. There seem to be excellent choices available well in to the 3rd or 4th rounds. I always think its the middle rounds that make the real difference, in terms of playoff vs non playoff teams. I don't believe I've ever won a ring with Willy in CF, for example. 8)

Mark your right, everyone gets two or three real good players, it's the middle rounds where the sleepers ar picked that determine the teams with chances to get to the playoffs.

I agree with Jon, live drafts are the best, I seldom do anything else.
The problem is I do better in the other drafts.

I've won 2 of my 5 rings with Willie In center for me.He has also won at least 6 M.V.P.'s for me.Here are the World Champ teams.

The #'s for the Cowboys team aren't all that impressive but the #'s for the Zizza's team were pretty tough.I'll take Willie any day of the week ,although I did consider taking Pete who the M.V.P.and Cy Young awards for my only 100 win team.Check out Pete's #'s on this Championship team.

It looks like Willie had plenty of help on those two teams, if you put Duke Snider or some of the other quality CF's you probably still would have won those Championships but having Willie certainly didn't hurt. 8)

I've had Mays and Snider on my teams and even though it should be closer there is NO COMPARISON.......there is only one Mays...

I've only had Mays a couple of times myself, don't believe those teams did any good, I'll go back and check. By the way Simon, have you posted divisional alignments?

Nope! Divisional assignments in this league have always been random entry. When your done with your team, you just hop in. No waiting for anybody! A lot of the same players go in the early rounds. It forces those that pick further down to consider two things when they draft: depth at certain positions, and getting a player that can have the most impact. I usually like Bomber teams, but drafting 12th last time forced me to go in a direction I'm not used to going in. Drafting players I don't normally draft. Makes it a little more interesting and challanging! :)

Just got up, and after some log on issues, made my pick. Wasn't sure who I was going to go with, initially, but in a $100m league, hard to pass up the most dominant 2b. :)

Those are the two guys I was debating about, along with Hornsby. Tough call, no matter what.
