(This is probably a Bernie question): How does a Ralph Botting (1979) make an All-Time Greats Roster? I mean, 8.80 ERA, 2.06 WHIP, and 22 K's in 29.2 IP?

Kirby Puckett hit a line drive off of my right knee when I pitched batting practice to him. He was a freshman at Triton Community College in the Chicago suburbs, and I was the S.I.D. The ball tore through the mesh screen in front of me. You could see the stitch marks on the ball in the bruise. It was still visible two months later. Ouch!

That said, there is a bit of logic of having the NYers beat their brains out amongst themselves.....Shouldn't take too long. :lol:
