Errormagnate 40K Win Celebration w/Friends League and Roast

Postby KEVINEHLE » Thu Mar 08, 2007 10:28 am

Chuck.....it has been a horrible scene!!! My team was cruising along and spent most of the 1st half of the season ahead of Steve! :D

But then.......Weeks #5 and #6, my team had an unbelievable combined record of 10-32!

We came back in Week #7 and had a winning record. :D

But now we've lost 12 of our last 14.

Why did I start this league? :?

However, there is still some excitement out there as our buddy Steve is one game back in the Wild Card race.....and guess what??? I get to play Steve on the last day of the season.

I had a bit of a decision to make on tonight's lineups. I'm playing Steve tonight and couldn't decide whether to rest my 15 game injury guys....Meyers & Chance or put my best team on the field knowing he is in the wildcard race....had to go with what I thought was best for my team and both will be riding the pine tonight! If I get swept, they may be back in the lineup tomorrow night. Good luck to all, as we wind this thing up!

I have to go away tonight and will not be back until early Sunday morning so will be left in suspense on this until then.
Regardless of the result this has been a lot of fun and I am again very honored by your participation in this league. I knew Marge would kick my a$$ and fully expected to be in the cellar the whole season with my tough division mates. Playing Kev in the final series does nothing for my sphincter-puckering race with the opther teams vying for the wild card.
Thanks again, and Kev- have your team break a leg ....... or several

Don't worry Steve, my team broke their legs rounding the second turn. The guy with the rifle came out to the track and shot us several times to put us out of our misery!
However, the ghost of Kev's dead team could haunt Steve's playoff bound ballclub tonight!!

Kev - the Olympians will surely need your help tonight as I don't expect to be able to pull it out on my own. Regardless, it has been a fun league and I want to thank you for organizing it and keeping us entertained with your always amusing postings.

[b:a8fc169e4b]Team Awards:[/b:a8fc169e4b]

MVP - Frank Robinson

Drove in 150 Runs while missing 18 games - now that is what I call an MVP!

CY Young - Roy Parmalee

The best of my mediocre staff!

Rolaids Relief - Craig Lefferts

Decent effort makes him better than the rest of my bullpen LOL

Disappointing Performance - Max Bishop

Was hoping for an OBP over .350 and closer to 80 runs

Surprise Performance - Mike Pagliarulo

Was hoping for some power from him, just not to the tune of 36 HR & a 600 SLG!
