By my math, we're ready to go for Round 7-- either keeping one more player off your roster, or stealing one from another roster (with no limit on how many players can be stolen from a team this round, since the players would otherwise go into the free agent pool).

Warrenbob-- if you don't have computer access while you're out, send me your proxy picks for Round 7 and the first few rounds of the draft so the draft doesn't come to a standstill. Thanks.

Warrenbob looks like he is out until next Tuesday, so we will have a wait for the next pick unless someone received a proxy from him...

Although I asked him to send proxies before leaving, I never heard back. Throughout the entire draft, he's been consistently late in posting picks, and I've had to send reminders that it's his turn. For the most recent round, everyone who was in town posted their picks on March 20-21 -- we had to wait until the evening of the 23rd for his picks, and then he indicated that he would be leaving the next day.

In the rules that were originally posted, we specifically provided for skipping players who were slow to post picks (Rule 8). I'm fine with skipping and letting him make it up on the back end-- no reason why eleven of us should have to wait for another week to resume the draft. For Round 7, we can have him keep his highest-priced remaining player. Plus, given the players who have been kept and the salary constraints, the draft isn't going to be Ruth-Mantle-Mays, etc., but instead, primarily mid-priced role players.

Thoughts?

I am forced to agree. That is the point of having an original rule set, to allow for guidence during unanticipated complications. If I were in the position of Warrenbob, I would understand, as I am sure that he will. Gorshar please proceed.
