Got a rules question guys -

According to the rules:

6) The Supplemental Free Agent draft is only 3 rounds. Owners with less than a full roster may use the Supplemental Free Agent Draft to get back to a 40 man roster
provided they can do it within 3 rounds. There will never be more than 36 picks made in the Supplemental draft.

I only have 38 players on my roster, and Jehale has 39. Everyone else is 40. There were only 34 picks in the supplemental draft.

Because the rules state we can use the supplemental draft to get back to a 40 man roster, but only 36 total picks will be in the supp draft - can Jehale and I each add another player? If we do Jehale will have a full roster, I'll have 39, there will only be 36 supplemental picks in total made - which is all good by the rules.

Not sure if we can do this?

Supplemental Free Agent drafts:
1) A Supplemental Free Agent draft of up to 3 rounds will be held between seasons 1 and 2 of each calender year.
2) All owners must announce their roster drops ( up to 3) prior to the Supplemental draft.
3) Owners may draft no more than 3 players; Owners are not required to draft any players during the Supplemental draft
4) Supplemental Free Agent drafts are non-sepentine; Supplemental Free Agent draft order is determined by the previous season's regular season record.
5) There is no clock for Round 1 of the Supplemental Free Agent draft. All subsequent rounds will operate with a 3 hour clock.

7) Only players with MLB experience prior to the current season are eligible to be picked.

The way I am interpreting the rules is that you have three rounds to get back to a roster of 40, so I would think you could not any additional picks.

My thinking was the same. I don't think a manager should be allowed extra picks. If your roster is less than 40 right now then you must play this last season out with what you are at and when we do the spring draft you will be able to return your roster to 40 at that point.

I can get you to 40 too if I count Koji Uehara. But I thought you had dropped him. So I'm not sure if he's yours or not.

If he is then I've got you at 40.

Are we ready to go ahead with Season 2 of this year?

Count Koji as one of mine. I had to revise my drop list because, as usual, I was a little behind at following the rules.

I believe kaviksdad is going to run a draft for the players that were dropped after the draft had started. Once we go through that we can start season two and the prospect draft.
