I think if we use this for chatter, it keeps the draft threads clean.
So if your waiting to pick, you only have to check it if someone has posted.

Maybe someone has a better way to do these two things, but I think we need a running count of skips and to somehow indicate who is up.

It might be a good idea to indicate skips, perhaps with a number of *'s next to your name when you pick. If I've used 3 skips so far, then it would on this pick it would be Yankees - rjoh***.

Also might be a good idea to list the draft order either at the top or bottom with a space line above and below the person who is next up.

abc
def

xyz

ghi
jkl

xyz would be up.

I like Treyomo's way of using parenthesis and the number of skips.

Works well for pitchers and hitters.

[quote:1fece86a8a]The rules:

1. $100M, DH and frenzy

2. You draft/pick 4 team's pitchers and 4 team's hitters, no player or team trades, you can only use those players on your teams. For example, you might end up with pitchers from the 65 Dodgers, 35 Giants, 86 Red Sox and 34 Cards and hitters from the 39 Yankees, 19 Pale Hose, 27 Yanks and 59 Chubs. Only players (hitters or pitchers) from those teams can be on your roster.

3. Park must come from one of the teams you select

2. Picks are by state lottery results 1-12 and then 12-1 serpentine

3. Reverse pick for pitcher/hitters, if you pick first in hitters, you pick last in pitchers

4. Highest lotto number picks first for hitters

5. Each manager allowed a maximum of 8 team skips throughout the team draft for both hitter and pitcher (8 total, 4 max for hitter and pitcher). So if your next choice for hitter team is the 65 Dodgers, and you do not want them, you can use one of your skips to get the next team in line that is available.

6. But your max is 3 skips per turn.

7. Divisions are from lottery rank East 1,4,7,10 Central 2,5,8,11 and West 3,6,9,12

8. Players from the non selected teams are untouchable for the season

9. Teams will be randomized and the lotto pick will start on team #1 per below

10. League Champ picks the next season theme

11. Worst record is dropped from the next season

12. Best record gets to invite the next manager

13. We will set this up on ILC once we are full

This draft is really cool! Great idea, sschu!

I'm now seeing the critical value of not wasting your skips. Should be really interesting going through this list.

This is a stupid idea sschu, what the heck were you thinking .......

Actually, an interesting idea it just so happens that I ended up in a crummy spot for my first pick. Had to decide between using 3 skips immediately or taking a team I didn't really want .......

Ahhh - Harrelson to Alby Weis over to that dynamic L/R combo of Clendenon and Kranpool.
I remember it well.
