ATG II Manager of the Year Tournament
Rules and Guidelines
Commissioner--Bobby
Committee: Ed Bazo, rjoh, steveames, Rob55, naturaldoc, T. Richardson, dr. x
A. Point system per Round
1.1 point for each winning % over .500 (ex. .517 would yield 17 points)
2. -1/2 point for each losing % under .500 (ex. .488 would yield -6 points.
3. 1/2 point for a .500 winning % (81-81 record)
4. 10 points for a playoff appearance
5. 10 points for making the finals
6. 25 points for a championship
The Commissioner will keep a tabulation of the points and post. Each league for every Round needs an "acting commissioner" who will post their respective league records when requested by the commissioner
REQUIRED: Every manager MUST use their actual user name so the Commissioner can keep track of the points easier. Plus each manager must use the same team name for every Round: i.e. Las Vegas Idiots, Las Vegas Idiots 2 or II, etc. Your cooperation here will greatly streamline the number crunching process.
B. Leagues
1. 50M frenzy/waivers/ No DH
2. 60M frenzy/waivers/ No DH
3. 80M frenzy/waivers/ No DH
4.100M frenzy/waivers/ No DH
5. 80M frenzy/waivers/ DH
10 Rounds with each one beginning approximately every 4 weeks. The tournament format is as follows:
#1---80M--frenzy
#2---100M--waivers
#3---60M--waivers
#4---50M--waivers
#5---100M--frenzy
#6---80M--waivers
#7---60M--frenzy
#8---50M--frenzy
#9---80M--DH--waivers
#10--80M--DH--frenzy
The following schedule is when our tournament will begin loading each round.
#1---80M--frenzy --Start date 5/16/05 On Time
#2---100M--waivers-- Start date 6/13/05 (can't finish loading before 6/4/05)
#3---60M--waivers-- Start date 7/11/05 (can't finish loading before 7/2/05)
#4---50M--waivers--Start date 8/8/05 (can't finish loading before 7/30/05)
#5---100M--frenzy-- Start date 9/5/05 (can't finish loading before 8/27)
#6---80M--waivers--Start date 10/3/05 (can't finish loading before 9/24/05)
#7---60M--frenzy-- Start date 10/31/05 (can't finish loading before 10/22/05)
#8---50M--frenzy-- Start date 11/28/05 (can't finish loading before 11/19/05)
#9---80M--DH--waivers-- Start date 12/26/05 (can't finish loading before 12/17/05)
#10--80M--DH--frenzy-- Start date 1/23/06 (can't finish loading before 1/14/06)
C. Stadiums:
A manager can use a stadium no more than 2 times during the tournament. Therefore a manager must use a minimum of 5 different stadiums and a maximum of 10 stadiums.
Rule addition: If anyone violates the 2 team rule then he must select a park for his next league from the pool of parks selected by the other division managers. Each division manager selects one park and creates a pool of 3 parks. This is done before the autodraft....
D. Manager Placement
Round 1 is alphabetically listing of names with 1-12 in League A, 13-24 in League B, and 25-36 in League C
Then as the 1st Round is running each manager will select a permanent Pic 3 lottery state (area) for placement in Rounds 2-10...This will be set up as a separate thread...
E. Awards
1. ATG II Tournament Champion
2. ATG II Frenzy Champion
3. ATH II Waivers Champion
4. Fiddle in the Middle Award (closest to .500)
5. Someone has to be Last Award
6. Best overall record with no Rings Award
7. Worst overall Record with a Ring(s) Award
8. Most playoff appearances with no ring Award
9. The Why Me Hitter award to whoever gets the lowest OBP out of a 10mil plus player (per round award).
10. The Why Me Pitcher award to the player who gets the highest E.R.A. with a losing record out of a 10mil plus pitcher (per round award)
