I was just looking at the overall '06 rankings and we have amassed quite the Who's Who in Strato.

8 of the top 14 overall players (point wise) and some very impressive winning percentages. I am only team to only have won one Champ, everyone else has at least 2.

AF Dickie, Mesquiton and Worrierking would be in the top 15 as well if they had played as many seasons as the rest based on their winning % and number of Playoff and Champ totals.

That leave me, the perfect underdog.....and the fact that, while I haven't played against all of you before, you are considered my nemisis' because it is players like you that have kept me from the top 50 to this point.

I have enjoyed your postings on strategies and general information that without I wouldn't have enjoyed the successes to this point. In that vein, I hope to bite the hand that feeds me.....

I may jump into the top 50 before this season ends, but if not....you will represent my last chance before the new season kicks off. I hope I will prove to be an adequate advisary. May the best team win.

I am pretty sure (I will have to check), but PTBR and I were in a league last year. It was my 2nd team and first attempt at Petco. It was a complete disaster for me and a valuable learning experience. I didn't know too much about building teams with obp, whip, ect.... that team finished a miserable 47-115.
Since that point, I figured out this game took alot more than putting together a team of players you would love to have on a team together.

I have come a long way since then, but I am still like a sponge, trying to gather as much info as possible to maximize my chances at winning.

Now that I have given you all ego's and brown nosed enough......just know this......I am gonna kick your a**es and giggle my a*s off doing it.

The gloves are off......let's get it on.

Don't give up on your Petco strategy after just one season! let her rip one more time! :P though with a 115 loses you must have done a lot of dropping and pickups.

AF,

I did drop alot, of course I didn't realize that it could hurt you that much.
I know now.....to bad it took 115 losses to learn that fact.

My final Cap was 66,142 which means I lost nearly 14M on drops.

My team batting average was .239 my OBP was .290 and Slg was .370

A $25.00 lesson not easily forgotten.

I am trying a Petco team right now as a matter of fact, my first one since that '05 team.

I am 54-54 so I can't do worse than last year. Not great, but an improvement to be sure.

I see PTBR won that league now that I checked. He was also in my division so I am sure that he didn't mind that much that I tanked that bad.

I still haven't gotten my overall record to .500 because of that season even though I am close.

23 games under .500 for all the games now.

ATGIII wasn't very good to me either.
