Now it's two, Two, TWO League Chat threads in One!

Just a thinly veiled ripoff of an advertising slogan, from your friendly neighborhood marketing executive.

It may not be [i:0c536f33b2]my[/i:0c536f33b2] turn until well after Saturday's session at our current pace, and my next pick is 12 spots before yours.

Just remember this is Easter weekend; a lot of people will be very busy throughout. Up here in Naperville, IL, we'll be digging out after another fun snowstorm drops six to twelve inches. (Cue Tom Slick fans: "Yay.")

And speaking of slowing the pace....

I'm going on a cruise next Thursday through the following Monday, and it's going to be very, very had to keep up with the draft at that point. I'm not even sure I'll have internet access on ship. I'll bring my cell with me, in case we really get rolling, but I can't guarantee I'll be helpful.

Anybody seen Durantjerry? I sent him a PT, but no luck.

Wow. That must really suck.

We'll try the cell phone thing if need be.

ive still got photos of the great snowstorm of '69 I believe it was. snowbanks taller than cars. kareem blogged about coming to chicago to play loyola and some other team with ucla, and having to fly to st. louis because ohare was closed, and taking an 8-hour train to union station at midnight. said they ended up being stuck in chicago for four days. it was in the l.a. times. he said '69, I remember it as '67. anyhow, loved his note about saying they found people in cars days later after the snow melted. kinda like this draft....

btw, the old meat household in Naperton is at 309 e. 11th avenue, just past ogden and washington on the north side, in Saybrook. half a block from beebe school, where paula Zahn and I both attended grade school, and our moms were "picture ladies" (elementary school art lessons)
the snow was completely over the downstairs street level windows...

When I lived in Bawlmer, we had the biggest snowstom on record -- two separate bursts over three days in 2003 or 2004, I believe, that added up to 27 inches total. Windblown snow buried cars on our street, and my partner Catherine took pictures of buried vehicles and people walking through blizzard like conditions that were shown on one of the local news stations. There was no work at my ad agency for a week. It was wild.

Hooray! Now we're rolling!

Rollins is just about my fave player in MLB right now....missed him on my rotisserie team, too, where he was picked #2 overall. Last year I had him and he was definitely my MVP.

Testing to see if I'm "banned," like Meat apparently is...

For me at 3 it came down to...

A-Rod vs. Rollins (and one other unnamed player, cuz he is still out there). I really wanted to have it all...the defense, the triples... :P I was thisclose to pulling the trigger on Rollins, but couldn't pass up the A-Rod crush in the end.
