Don't believe you're going to get your butts handed to you on a silver platter by JKolak?

Win % is a mere .571
Makes playoffs barely 70% of the time (when most people make it an amazing 25%)
Has only won 22 2001 Titles.

You're right! He's nothing!!  :D

I've been toe to toe with Jeff many times. He always drafts Boone 1st. He likes Manny in left, Cs that hit (Piazza). I beat him to Sauerbeck and Venafro this time. He will end up in the playoffs.

My pitching picks were picked up by other managers...I feel pretty naked without Jimmy Anderson in the rotation. Now I have 3 nickel pitchers to rotate in the 4th pitching slot of my rotation.

Picked up Darryl Kile off unclaimed player waiver wire (replacement for Steve Sparks whom I do not get).
Picked up Jeff Weaver off unclaimed player waiver wire (replacement for Tom Glavine whom I do not get).
Did get Ramon Ortiz...

The bullpen is pretty alien to me...I haven't drafted Herges and Lloyd in a long, long time and have been staying away from Rocker and drafting Sauerbeck and Venafro instead.

Mike DeJean has been a prime closer pick for me ever since the 2001 version of HAL has soured on the use of Matt Anderson. Also drafted Mike Buddie, a RP I will usually take if available on the waiver wire and I have some spare cash.

I picked up Piazza after he had been dumped on the waiver wire early in the frenzy. Originally tried for LoDuca ended up with Ivan Rodriguez.

I did get the following selections:

Jason Giambi, 1B
Bret Boone 2B
Rich Aurilia SS
Manny Ramirez LF
Cliff Floyd DH
Mike Cameron CF

I failed to get Phil Nevin 3B, picked up Aramis Ramirez after he had been dumped on the waiver wire by another manager. Tried to draft Shawn Green RF, had to pick up Chris Singleton from unclaimed waiver players.

The Central Divsion has the Keystone Ponderers (1st 2001 team). I like the offense this team has although it is somewhat underpowered. However, the pitching is overpriced and extremely horrible.

West Seneca Astros is the first 2001 team for this manager. The SP is bad once you get past Pedro and Halladay. The bullpen uses a system I would use from time to time, a stud closer with cheap setup. His OF is solid but the IF won't hit its body weight.

Vanc Vaders is another first time 2001 entry...aren't I lucky! This team has Barry Bonds and very little else. The pitching is a terrible mismatch for New Comiskey. The hitting is extremely sad one you get past Bonds.

For the Central I predict:

First: Richmond Braves XVIII
Second: West Seneca Astros
Third: Keystone Ponderers
Fourth: Vanc Vaders

I missed out on S. Green & like JKolak P. Nevin & J. Giambi ... my offense feels kind of unsettled without a bonifide LH Slugger ... hopefully Griffey & Klesko can somewhat compensate.

I did well in the draft. The only hitter I didn't get was Jeter. HAL gave me Tejada, who will do well in Coors. I also got 4 of my 5 starters,Glavine was the only one that escaped me. I got a few of my RP, can't remember who I didn't get.

My plan going into the draft was to get several sluggers that wouldn't break the bank (under 6 million) and then have some above average SP that can hold their own in Coors. I may have to upgrade my relievers though.....
