Be curious to see which owners are also in TSN 47563.

Albany Downloaders in the West. I did ok in the draft (though Jeff beat me to Young and I had him #2). I need 1 more LH bat. Missed all 3 Cs and at 3b.

I'm drafting 4th but don't think I did too bad. I haven't done well in 2003. My last team went 109-53 in the regular season but went down in flames in the semifinals. Biggest spots I lost were C and 3B.

[b:868a712187]AT News: [i:868a712187]GM & Manager clash over Top Draft Pick[/i:868a712187][/b:868a712187]

In an unusual turn of events, the General Manager (Juan De Marco) and the Manager (Don Quixote) of the Ottawa Daemons have clashed over whom they should select first in the Waivers Draft to be held this afternoon.

Senor Quixote feels the team needs another pitcher and would like to draft a C. Schilling or a M. Redman. However General De Marco feels that the team is better off trying to draft an SS and sign him long-term, and has his sights set on a D. Jeter or a R. Furcal.

The two have been wrangling about it for hours, and their personal bodyguards have had to intervene occasionally to keep them from going to blows - or worse! The sound of gunshots would probably not sit well with fans of the team, or with the police for that matter!

The compromise solution may very well end up being T. Nixon, who is a fan favourite, as well as a player that both the GM & Manager respect. Hopefully this tense situation will be worked out with a peaceful negotiation!

This looks like another 2003 league that won't quite make it for me. For a variety of reasons, I never did get the hang of 2003...

I am barely over .500 myself in 2003 leagues. Only 2 titles in 37 prior attempts. I've rolled the dice and my season will depend on how well Edmonds, Lopez & Ortiz do, and how much injury time they accumulate.

First major test - with J. Lopez hit with a 15 game injury (13 to go). :(
