My first poll.

Does the winner nominate with no bid, or the next manager with an opening for hitter/pitcher make the nomination and place a bid?

Please cast your votes here. BBoone said he'd abstain, so 6 votes either way will be a majority.

If I win Martinez, I'll hold off on a new player until this is settled.

I'll be leaving for a day out later this AM, and if enough votes are in one way or the other, we can move forward anyway.

So as not to stop progress today, here's my 2 options if I get Tippy.

If option 1 wins, Fergie Jenkins goes up with no bid from me.

If option 2 wins, Kevin Brown goes up for bid with a .5 opening bid from me.

You guys can move forward with one of those players if we get to 6 votes either way.

If someone bids on Martinez in the next hour or so, then we have 24 more hours to fret. :wink:

I can't see m to get the voting form to show up so I vote for the "slide" option (to the next owner).
