Well firstly I will go create the league chat thread.

Secondly we wait for tonights Pick III lottery results. I will post them on the league chat thread sometime after 11am Eastern tomorrow, unless someone else does it for me.

Then I'll create the draft applet on penngrays website - www.fantasysportstools.com
Owners who have NEVER used this tool before should let me know so that I can create them an acccount & pwd.

All drafting will be done on that website, which also has a decent feature for settign up proxy picks. There was a good post somewhere about how to set up proxies on the draft site, but I'm not too sure where it is.

The draft clock will remain OFF until the first round has been completed, so as to ensure all owners were able to access the draft site & can make pick(s)/set up proxies. After the first round is complete the 3 hour clock will be turned on.

I believe the 3 hour clock runs from 10am Eastern to 12midnight Eastern Mondays-Fridays ... not sure if it runs on Weekends.

As I will be gone for 95% of Monday, I will give another owner admin rights so that they can turn on the draft clock for me, if need be.

Mr. BBW mentioned a valid concern: One question: Divisions are listed as "first come first serve" which I would assume means that our divisions are set at the time we load. I can see the possibility though that three people load in the east(with the required NL/AL east stadiums but then noone else loading because they do not want to use an east stadium and being at a stand still. Will there be an earlier time to pick divisions and if so when?

---

Is there [b:315ca0afdd]ANYONE[/b:315ca0afdd] who feels they simply [b:315ca0afdd]CANNOT[/b:315ca0afdd] use a park from any of the 3 groups, which I will post below, of NL/AL East. Central & West?

Personally with a 74-75 player pool for each owner, and unlimited trade opportunities, I'd like to assume that all owners could build a team for various types of parks, and I think each group carries a fair variety of parks to choose from.

Don't forget that even if the first 3 owners in the division are using the same park, that does NOT preclude you from being able to use that park. So we could see 4 Sheas, 4 Wrigleys & 4 Coors.

Nonetheless, if an owner feels they may have a problem, we can alter the rules slightly if need be.

Here is a post on proxies that FoggyOne was kind enough to share. :)

[b:88a3b52f01]Proxies:[/b:88a3b52f01]

There are four things that interact when you set proxies.

1. Round
Set this to a number not equal to 1 to have the proxy execute in a specific round. ZERO means any round. I normally leave this zero.

2. Group
A grouping number allow you to group players together. The groups are processed in numerical order. Typically groups are used for positions, like a SS group, but you can make a leadoff hitter group, etc.

3. Group Order
This is the order within the group (#2 above) to pick. I like to number by 10 so I can slide people in between. Note penn only support order between 0 and 99.

4. Delete if group picked flag
This tells penn to delete the group (#2 above) if YOU pick someone from the group. Set this to Yes most of the time so you don't pick 3 SS.

Example

Round Group Order Delete Player
0 1 10 Y O Smith
0 1 20 Y UL Washington
0 1 25 Y I DeJesus
0 2 10 N B Horner
0 2 20 N D Kingman
0 2 30 Y R Kittle

In this example when it is your turn to pick penn will look at group 0 and pick the player with the lowest order that is left. Let's say Ozzie has been picked, so you get Washington. And because the delete flag is Y DeJesus is removed. Your proxies are now

Round Group Order Delete Player
0 2 10 N B Horner
0 2 20 N D Kingman
0 2 30 Y R Kittle

At your next pick group 2 is left and lets assumes Horner, Kingman amd Kittle are all available. Penn will then pick Horner and remove Kittle because the delete flag is Y. Your proxies are now

Round Group Order Delete Player
0 2 20 N D Kingman

Kingman will be your next pick if he is available.

Tips
If you want to re-order yout proxies you do not need to remove the player from the list and re-added them. You can just enter the player id and the new setting and penn will move the player on the proxy list.

If you order your groups by 2's or 5's you can slide groups in between. Also penn support group ZERO so you can slide in a group at the top.

LASTLY, DON'T FORGET TO TURN YOUR PROXIES "ON"

The following owners have admin rights:

FoggyOne
Warrior0510
Mr. Baseball World

The following owners [b:1f056a15e0]MAY[/b:1f056a15e0] have difficulty entering the draft because I had to create an account for them:

BoDean
etdefender
Aray0113
huntthis

Couldn't find an account under their handle, or anything similar. If you have an account already on penngrays website, you can contact penngray (his e-mail is listed on the website) and penngray can change it for you.

I think I know what the generic password is for new accounts, but again, you should contact penngray and ask him to be sure, and how to change the pwd.

In any case don't worry - the clock is off for the first round. The clock won't start until everyone has made at least 1 pick.

1 - Divisions are first-come first-serve. Which division you choose to join determines which ballparks you can use, as owners in the EAST can [b:92179b968a]ONLY[/b:92179b968a] use AL/NL East parks, owners in the WEST can [b:92179b968a]ONLY[/b:92179b968a] use AL/NL West parks, owners in the CENTRAL can [b:92179b968a]ONLY[/b:92179b968a] use AL/NL Central parks.

So if you want to play in Fenway - get into the EAST asap. If you want to play in Wrigley - get into the Central.

Personally with a 75 player pool for each owner, and unlimited trade opportunities, I'd like to assume that all owners could build a team for various types of parks, and I think each group carries a fair variety of parks to choose from. Even if an owner misses out on getting to play Shea in the East, because it filled too fast, they can still benefit from Miller or SAFECO in the West.
