I think Hanson's first start is coming up this weekend. The Braves let Glavine go because they think he's ready. Should be interesting, I kinda like the Braves so I'm rooting for him a little even though he's not my player. Prospect draft should be a fun draft every year, booms or busts? Third round gems... Anybody else have the problem of wanting to draft players from their favorite team when much better players are out there? Haven't given in yet, but thought about taking Colby Rasmus. Price struck out 11 in 5.2 innings the other day. :) Would have much rather had the first pick in the first draft though. So just so you know I'll gladly trade you Price for Pujols. ;)

Hanson's promotion was encouragement to make him my selection. But, drafting young pitching is so risky. It will be interesting to see how Price and Hanson are doing in 2 years.
The prospect draft seems like fun, but, extra work for Bill. But, that's good. ....helps to keep him out of trouble.

I was stunned that Wieters did not go first. I am glad nobody took me up on trading pick #2. Even though C is a strong position to me, I could not pass up a potential once in a generation catcher. I have 6 guys on my short list after Wieters, one (Price) is gone, I wonder if any of the other five make it to pick #23!

Roger, I don't mind the extra work. But you're the guy who took Clayton Kershaw in the 5th round and Johnny Cueto in the 6th round and now you tell us that young pitchers are a risk? (Can I please share in some of that risk?)

Gotta have a couple of pitchers on every team. But, a year or two ago I might have picked a guy named Homer to pitch. Of course, Delmon Young and Alex Gordon were ready to be superstars back then, too. It will be fun to look back in a couple of years.
