Thought I'd get this rolling so we can leave the actual draft in its own thread.

I would have loved to grab Mauer at #3...can't wait to see his card.

Good thinking. Knew I forgot something...

Mauer's card should be nasty. Anyone care to start a little friendly pricing contest?

I'd be happy to trade my #7 slot for #1 if #1 either doesn't like being at the turnaround or doesn't want to wait til #24 (or two weeks from Wednesday) for his next pick.

I know ... After those first three guys, there isn't a clear cut choice, but I've narrowed it down. I was really just hoping one of those top three choices weren't taken since those were my top 3 as well.

Alas, Hanley is off the board :( . I guess I can take off my drool bucket.

I see HanRam went after me. I thought about taking a position player, as they are usually more coveted in the early rounds, but there wasn't an obvious choice. I went with one of the two best pitchers and assumed Greinke would edge out Lincecum. I think HanRam will probably be a 3e12 or so in the field, and probably a 5R or 6R again, putting him somewhere in the 8M to 8.5M range, maybe 9M. Greinke should be around 9.5M to 10M, I think.

Pujols will again be the highest priced guy, maybe 12-13M? Mauer will be around 9-10M. With 600 PAs, he would have been 10-11M.

I could not decide on a hitter either so I figured I couldn't go wrong with Lincecum. Hopefully the pick will be easier next time around.

I've gotta say, I'm pretty happy to have Mauer, Lincecum, and Grienke on a keeper team for next season

Well, we're in no hurry. My only concern is that if it starts slowly then people won't be as good about checking and then it [i:4daac3e379]really[/i:4daac3e379] slows down.

I've agreed with all the picks so far, very solid.
