[b:bfb30fb22c]Postponing this league until spring when 2009 comes out.[/b:bfb30fb22c]

League Name – 2008 As Real as it Gets
80M setup, but actually a 75M league (Your ‘Cash Available’ for you team MUST ALWAYS remain 5M or more)
DH WILL BE USED
5/10/20
frenzy (because it won’t really matter)
NO trades
NO free agent pool (except players that are your exclusive property)
MUST use the home stadium for your team
NAME YOUR TEAM with the actual team you have (for instance…if you have the Yankees…then name them the New York Yankees)

- There are 30 teams to choose from.
- After 24 teams are chosen, the 24 teams will be sequenced from lowest team salary to highest team salary. This will also set division alignment.
- There will then be a 3 round draft (lowest to highest) of players from the remaining 6 teams that were not chosen. To help the lower salaried teams, the draft will be a little different.
- Round 1 will be just the 6 lowest salaried teams (lowest to highest)
- Round 2 will be just the 12 lowest salaried teams (lowest to highest)
- Round 3 will be just the 18 lowest salaried teams (lowest to highest)
(For example, the manager with the lowest salaried team after 24 are chosen, will have
picks 1, 7 and 19 and the manager with the 18th lowest salaried team will only have
pick 36)
- The 6 highest salaried teams will get NO picks
- This will help the lower salaried teams and make all the rosters auto-draft legal.
- Draft will take place on the ILC boards. Please be courteous of fellow managers and be available to make your pick or give proxies to other managers if you are going to be unavailable. The draft should not take very long. These picks will be very important to the lower salaried teams.
- The players from your chosen team and the 1, 2 or 3 you draft become your exclusive property.
- The remaining players that were not drafted off the 6 remaining teams can no longer be used.
- There will be NO trading, but you can dip into your excess players during the season (with the obvious 5/10/20 penalty and maintaining a ‘Cash Available’ balance of at least 5M).
- Your initial auto-draft 25 man rosters may exceed the 75M, but must drop below the 75M immediately after the auto-draft.
- Roster size is whatever you can fit under the salary cap of 75M and still maintain the 5M ‘Cash Available’ balance. Some teams will have just 24, many will have 28.
- Divisions will also be set by team salary (prior to the 3 round draft). Lowest 6 team salaries to the East, next 6 to the Central, next 6 to the Midwest and highest 6 to the West.

Welcome everyone. I was the Commish of 4 leagues in ATG (each era) using this format and it seemed to work very well. I realize this could take some time to fill. So if you sign up, please check in regularly, so that when it does fill we can start the draft ASAP. Thanks Jim
