Here's the official thread for our 2009 NL only league.
$80 million cap, no DH, 24-round draft (including a unique NL stadium) on www.diamonddope.com, autodraft the last two players, only players that Strat-o-Matic lists as being NL players allowed, "fluke" players not included, advanced, standard waivers, free agents 5%/10%/20% (not that there will be much to choose from).
Additional rulings added 5/24:
1. Three hours per pick after the first round is completed. Clock is off on weekends and between 10 p.m. and 10 a.m. Eastern.
2. Pure relievers must be dropped as soon as they reach 150 innings up until the end of game 141.
3. If you draft an American League player by mistake, you lose that draft pick and do not have access to that players' salary for the rest of the draft. You must replace that player in the autodraft.
4. If you draft an American League stadium by mistake, you lose that draft pick and still must pick a National League stadium in the draft. If you pick an AL stadium by mistake in the 24th round, you must wait until all other teams have selected an NL stadium before making your choice.
We do still need a league name. In keeping with the recent movie theme, maybe the Prince of Persia League? (Not released yet and likely not very good, but we've done Iron Man already. With Prince of Persia, you could choose any Middle East/South Asia related team name - and, of course, the whole team name keeping with league name is optional anyway.) I'm open to other suggestions.
[Edit: "Wall Street League" name established 5/22.]
I still favor just doing random number generators to do draft order and division assignments, but I am listing below the states people have volunteered in case people object:
1. Al - FL
2. Tom - NJ
3. SGT D - NY
4. Zim - CA
5. Cal - LA
6. Jason - MA (evening, by default)
7. Curt - IL
8. Turtle - TX
9. Meat - ?
10. Terry - ?
11. (Saved for Mark)
12.
Haven't heard yet from Mark that he's in, but we'll save a spot for him.
