Welcome to version 25 of the NLD! :D

Thanks for getting it set up NP. 8-)

I'll try to get some updates to the NLD History up later today.

Anyone have an email for Beach? He hasn't posted since 7/12 so maybe he's on vacation.

Ok, while we're waiting for everyone to figure out that NLD25 has started, here's some info on the past 24

Spreadsheet here: http://www.angelfire.com/games5/joethejet/NLD_History.xls IE users will have to copy and paste.

As already noted, it was Hawk's second NLD title, but the first since his first NLD in NLD11.

The most titles by anyone is 3, a three-way tie btwn AT, Silver & JTJ/WM. In the current group, Big M also has 2.

Big A, Stoney, and Beach are still looking for their first. Keyzick has only one NLD under his belt so...

The third best record (coincidently the WC) won for the fifth time.

The 95 wins by Big M is one of the highest totals ever. 100 is the record in NLD9 by Abner.

This league has the biggest range of high to low since NLD12 and the largest Std Deviation since NLD9. For only the fifth time we had three 90 game winners. Very unusual NLD.

Big M moved into fourth place in overall win pct (minium 5 seasons), just nudging past Shrink.

As noted previously, this is only the third NLD without Silver or WM/JTJ in the playoffs, and the first time since NLD17. Most of that is due, of course, to Silver's incredible record of playoff appearances in 18 of 24 NLDs (75%) In fact, if you throw out Silver's miserable 07 season (no above .500 teams) he's made 18 of 21!

Jeep and WM/JTJ have 50% record of playoff appearances for second place on the list.

Over the past 9 NLDs (where we've had remarkable consistency of managers) WM/JTJ has the best overall win pct by a narrow margin over Shrink. Silver, Big M and Smoke aren't far back. Seven different teams winning the Champs over that period.

Big A moved into a tie with Shrink with 11 seasons. Nine current players have 10 or more seasons in the NLD. Beach and Stoney have seven each. Keyz is the newbie here. ;)

Guess that's all for now. Hope you enjoy the numbers.

He he, I didn't get one player, Aaron Hill for my new AD team. So, of course, I play him tonight and, in the first inning he hits a 1-9 HR off of Johnson. Bet he didn't do that all year for me. :P ;)

Pick Made. Going with Tulo again. Maybe I'll have to get a park he can hit in this time. ;)

Anyone know if Big A knows we've started?

We're up to AT.

Doesn't look like he's been on for awhile. Someone want to ping him?

I think the remaining managers have all been in the loop.

I'm ready to go. But I gotta say I'm not to thrilled with the 10th pick in a 100m league.
