Armchair General Managers -- Season 37 -- Chat

Check in at your earliest convenience. Please note the following:

1. The keeper cap is $35 million. Post your keepers on this thread.

2. Since we no longer require unique stadiums, you are free to choose whichever stadium you want.

3. An 8 round serpentine live draft will occur after all managers post their keepers lists. The draft order is set by worst to first according to regular season record without regard to whether or not a team makes the playoffs.

5. We'll use the DiamondDope draft site for the live draft. DiamondDope does not allow the opportunity to remove keepers from the draft pool. We will have to remember this when drafting.

6. There will be a 3 hour enforced clock on the draft that goes into effect after round 1 is complete.

7. You can make trades before you post your keeper lists. You can revise your keeper lists (due to trades, change of heart, etc.) as long as it is done before the last list is posted.

The draft order is as follows:

1. JOEOC (74)
2. Bullmcintosh (74)
3. Doc X (75)
4. JMHite (76)
5. DSPeters5 (81)
6. Minnie Minoso (82)
7. Dacelo (82)
8. PJMB (83)
9. Bujinkan1 (85)
10. Chemosh (85)
11. JW4412 (86)
12. CB3137 (89)

Regarding the round 1 draft order, please note: Joe and Pat both had 74 wins. They split the head-to-head, but Pat outscored Joe 76-59 in those games. Joe, therefore picks #1, and Pat picks #2; Jim and Darrell both had 82 wins. Since Jim won the head to head, Darrell picks #6 and Jim picks #7. Will and Denny both won 85 games. Since Denny won the head to head, Will picks #9 and Denny at #10.

I want to keep the divisions from last season.

Do these two guys need to appear on my keeper list now, or just on my final roster?

I believe they should be on your keeper but Mark should make that call. :)

Pat:

Right now you own your previous season's roster plus Coveleski and Ring (because of the trade with PJMB). You must choose your $35 million in keepers from this "list" of players.

So, if you keep both Coveleski and Ring, they must be on your $35 million keepers list.

If you keep only one of these players, he must appear on your keepers list.

Firmly believing that the wrath of the Gods of Stratomatic can do no more damage to my team's chances than my inherent managing (in)abilities, I hereby offer up Willie Mays for trade.

1st tier Center Fielders (whose names don't start with Duke) will be given highest consideration.

Jim, you can have all the players you want from my team for Mays. Except Coveleski & Ring, who I traded away.
