Each month we will start a new season with a new theme. What you choose to do is completely up to you.
[b:06b942b44f]Only stipulations are....
1. Live drafts must be on boards or Diamond Dope. No quick drafts.
2. Cannot use same salary cap in consecutive seasons. Can use 60/80/100/125/140/200 caps.
3. Must be competitive to all. Can't simply pick your team and challenge others to beat you.[/b:06b942b44f]

still working on theme...got the shell, but working on how to fill in limited player pool at certain positions.
here's the crux...ALL negro league players, and all african americans since Jackie arrived in 1947.
we're fine most everywhere, except pure relief pitchers, very short there. im debating between including either latin american born players in that category, or allowing anyone under 1m dollars.
in the case of relievers, ill likely choose one of those options, or make a pool of players from which to fill out your staffs from.
still deciding on salary cap...
roster will be 24.
live draft will be 10 to 12 rounds with autodrarft to follow to fill.
divisions 1,4,7,10 etc
all parks will be negro league, unique, and in reverse order of original live draft.
any suggestions or help on checking the player pool to assure that we have enough potential draftees to fill a dozen rosters is welcome and appreciated.

Meat... just PLEASE make sure that there are enough decent players at all positions.
Couple thoughts.... may need to include latin players or allow for a certain number of non-aa players per team (which may be easier).
I like the overall concept!!
Take your time, bontom is going on vaca and will have sparse access next week. So we will not be able to get started until a week from Monday. He told me this before joining, and since he is "one of the boys" I was more than willing to wait. Albeit, he is sort of our Buck Weaver!

If we can complete the draft by Sunday evening, I can get my team in before I leave. Maybe reduce the number of draft rounds before going to auto-draft? Say 6 or 8 rounds?

still working on it, but closing in...including latin players for pitching because that's where the biggest void is, especially relif pitchers.
there will be a lot of SWING pitchers who both sp/rp who will need to be used as relief pitchers, so a lot will depend on your settings and manipulating Hal.
have to step away for a bit for dinner, west coast, but am almost done combing pitchers.
figure we need 108 pitchers, likely most of us will have 9-man staff...may allow the garbage .50 caucasions to slip in to fill out staffs since most people use that anyway with no intention of ever having them pitch.

I think we should just include Latin-Americans.
1. They weren't all that welcome prior to 1947 (although a few did play in the majors).
2. The Negro Leagues included many Latins. Torriente, Baro, Oms were definitely Cuban, and there are several others (Jose Mendez) who seem probable.
This may be a league that takes quite some time to get right. Perhaps we should have a simpler theme for our kickoff.

novie, if you or someone else wants to request a randomizer, based on the number order for themes, please feel free.
here's a twist to randomizer you NEED to read carefully. draft position determined by where your assigned number comes up in randomizer, 1-12.
i.e. im number one fed into randomizer, wherever the 1 digit appears in the random list produced...whether its first or 5th , or 12th, that's where I pick.
2nd i.e. random list is this for example
2-6-4-9-10-11-3-1-12-7-8-5.... I would draft 8th, since that's where the number 1 comes up. whoever is number two on theme list would pick first etc....
