NFL MVP race

The Glamour Guys are always looked at for MVP because of gaudy numbers and all those guys on that list are great! But I have a pick for MVP whom never has been discussed this season because of Manning and Tomlinson. Philip Rivers in my mind has been the absolute most valuable cog to his team considering the circumstances. Taking nothing away from LaDanian in this piece but consider this.

1) The Chargers missed the playoffs last year with LT and an incredible QB in Drew Brees
2) Rivers had never started a game in the NFL and the pressure was squarely on his shoulders he has responded most magnificently
3) Rivers has passed for 2600 yards 16-6 TD's to Int's and has a passer rating of 93.8 his stats far more impressive than Brady's who is on that list.
4) Tomlinson would have put up great numbers regardless but the reason he can be so good is because of Rivers
5) Tomlinson is without question the most feared offensive player in the game(or Manning) but Rivers is the most valuable!
