Delgado or Helton (newbie advice for 06')? With good Link :)

I'm at Petco so you'd think the obvious answer would be Helton for me, but...
I'm in a division with three heavy offenise parks (at least for LH hitters with power). Two Citizen Banks and an AmeriQuest. I like the kind of power Delgado offers for those stadiums while I like Helton's OBP numbers for Petco.

Of course Delgado's defense is poor and Helton's is all-star level. I need to ask this...How much is defense weighted between a "1" and a "3" at 1B specifically? How much of a difference is that really?I say "3" because I would be playing Adam Dunn at 1B if I kept Delgado (who would DH).

Here's my team. Please be gentle. What would you do? I was thinking about cutting Silva to accrue the necessary funds to acquire Helton...if that was the way I chose to go at 1B.

Thank you very much.

Bad link to your team. Go to league statistics, select your team, copy URL (web address) and paste here. You will know if you did it right if it ends in numbers instead of .html.

I am not a big fan of Helton in the 06 game. Since you already have Dunn make sure that there aren't very many LH SP in your division. If there are very few then the obvious choice is Delgado. A good link to your team will help us give you better advice however.

Here's the team. I'd offer up some advice myself, but am off to work. I'll toss you some advice later.

thanks for the heads up and link correction, guys.

I guess Dunn is a "3"...and not a "4" at 1B. Definitely helps me want to keep what I have. And I already cut Silva. fwiw.

My thoughts:

C: OK
1st: Dunn- A 3e23, and very ballpark dependant. Not the greatest fit for Petco
2nd: Need a strong backup for Kennedy. Spent the extra $ and get Counsell
SS: OK
3rd: Another big injury risk, horrible D, ballpark dependant
LF: Who is it?
CF: Not a big Edmonds fan only because of the injury factor. Taverez is fine
RF: Who is it?
DH: Again, very ballpark dept.

Pitching staff looks good.

Here's a couple of Petco teams you might want to look at to get some ideas:

Yeah, it needs work. I was thinking if the ss, 2b, and cf positions were solid defensively I'd be able to get by with bad defense from the infield corners. Mayber not. I want to start Davanon in the outfiled. Bad move?

Thank you.

Also, with 6 LH SP's in the division, you need to get a bit stronger vs LH's. It's not so much the defense at the corners as it is the ballpark dependancy. As for Davanon, well, theres a reason why he's priced as he is.
