Platooning

Hi,

I apologize for the likelihood that this is a repeat topic.

Let's say you had a platoon of Griffey/Wily Mo in RF (please try to hold off on the, "wow that's an expensive platoon" comments :wink: ). Of course, you would like Pena to bat later in the game if a left specialist is brought in to face KGJ. You ave KGJ set to avoid lefty pitchers, and Wily Mo as the PH vs lefties in "manager settings".

I have found this doesn't work very well. What is the deal? My experience is that HAL might use Wily Mo to PH for a weaker hitter however (although Griffey suffers vs LHPs.

What gives?
