Unfortunately, the opposition has good catchers(Mauer, Irod & Varitek) and good hold ratings.

That is a team of speed! I was wondering when you have 5 or more guys that can steal you between 20 and 40 bases, how do you set your managerial settings for stealing ?

I always try a few speed teams. If running is a part of your offense, I would set it to normal or aggressive. I have found aggressive to be a reasonable setting, where HAL does not really run wild with the lesser guys who have a good percentage. Your guys have to be fast though. On my team you see Castillo with a 12-1 success rate and Martin with a 13-4. Usually I put the 19 rated steal guys on steal more. On this team I also have Figgens on steal more. I'm getting about a 75% rate, which is OK considfering how much they run. Potential to steal 20-40 bases is vague. What matters is the steal numbers. A 19 guy is good for 50-100 depending on his hitting. If they are rated 18 or less and you want a normal offense with some stealing, I would set it to normal with no steal more guys, as they will steal more when the chances aren't quite as good. As the season goes along you can adjust "steal more"if needed.
