Pinch hitters, and Natalie Portman

I have some platoons, but I can't get HAL to pinch-hit when there is a lefty-righty pitching change. Has anyone else been able to?

I've checked "Avoid Lefties" for White and Dawson.

I've checked "Avoid Righties" for Galarraga, Lemon, and Valentine.

I understand HAL not pinch hitting in a blow-out, but how about late in a close game?

For instance, in [url=http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/stratomatic/league/boxscore.html?group_id=48703&g_id=154]this game[/url], the other team brought in a righty (Worrell) in the 8th. Why didn't Stargell or someone hit for Galarraga and Valentine?

Everyone has this problem. Hal will not always pinch hit for platoons right away. However I had Gary Mathews in a platoon with Vernon Wells in CF with the 2007 set. And at the end of the year, Mathews only had 23 at bats against lefties out of almost 400. So he will pinch hit, but usually not in the 4th,5th, or 6th innings. It is just one of those things. I know it sucks, but there is not much you can do other than, set your player to avoid weak side.And you have already done that. If you are in the 8th,9th, or extra innings he will however USUALLY pinch hit,... with your platoon. But Hal's thinking(with this matter) might be, that if he pinch hits in the 5th,6th, or 7th innings and then there is another pitching change, you are screwed again. Few things in life are perfect, other than Natalie Portman.

With a billion dollars, you could probably clone her a couple times, and buy your way into polygamistic marriage with two or three Natalie Portman's.
