Advice desired on a struggling team...

Postby wahlerpc » Wed Nov 22, 2006 7:40 am

thanks a ton guys!!! Yesterday was my first stab at this game, so sorry for making big changes "mid post"...I just got excited. I do think I made the team much better, and will heed all the advice here in moving forward. Before the posts, I had e-mailed the guy about Reyes or Furcal, so funny someone mentioned that. I also did notice the awesome names on FA--but at an 80% return, it's tough to get the nicer names!!!

Thanks again, as I'm trying to learn this game on the go, so it's nice to get some feedback from those that know the game!

C2: All I'm doing is lathering you with praise so I might take full advantage of you in a future trade 8)

Wahlerpc: All you can do is continue to read postings on the forums, take a look at teams and leagues as they get posted on here, see what works in different stadiums as these leagues progress, and most of all, never feel awkward to ask for opinions or advice before leagues begin.

I had never played the board game, and only discovered TSN Strat fiddling around the net. Spent countless hours reading advice from the pros inhabiting the forums, disecting teams as they appear in different threads, and gave it a go from there. I've asked for and received numerous advice even from players in the same league and am always willing to do so myself now that I have a few games under my belt.

In what is possibly the best aid if you're like me and too cheap to buy the ratings disks (actually, its much more rewarding doing it by hand):

Again, continued good fortune in your future leagues.
