Wrigley Studs? (Team Help)

Postby hechojazz » Fri Sep 16, 2005 4:31 pm

I guess I would have liked Nevin's bat, but his defense is bad, and I'm putting Bonds at DH. Plus, I needed to free up some $$ to fix my pitching. Having Kotsay and Mohr and Ivan Rodriguez makes me happy, and with a little tinkering post-waivers I should be able to give Bonds some decent protection in the lineup without Nevin.

[quote:6be0dce199]how many teams really set up their rotation against ONE opponent?

Playing Shea or Wrigley will not change that much the % of rhp or lhp you face, in my opinion.[/quote:6be0dce199]

I saw that a lot more in 03 than 05. The one-sided cheap guys are almost non-existent in this set.

I'd have to disagree with you there Worrier. Although I guess it depends on what someone thinks cheap is. I think theres alot of cheapy guys in this set and many more vs lefties than 03. The thing in this set is that instead of them being 500k their in the mid 1.5 - 700k range. But 1.5 is still cheap in my book.

Agree. They exist, but at a higher cost. I think that the fact they cost more this year means you see fewer of them than last year. That may not be your experience.

Its really kind of strange and it definitely to me shows a major difference in the pricing from 05 to 03. I do agree that the 800k and lower pitcher is better in the 03 set compared to the 05 set of same price valued players. There isn't a quality in 05 at that 800k less with the likes of Tejera, Duckworth, Dreifort, Meche etc etc. But in 05 in the 1.5 mill range you have a ton of SP's who blow these guys away. The likes of Haren, Robertson, Beckett, Lieber, Greinke, Lowry etc, etc imop bring a much greater value than their 500k counterparts from 03. But in the end I guess its all what someone considers cheap. To me a 1.5 mill SP is still a cheapy but theres no debating your spending another 1 mill.
