[quote:0e39212669]Me too, I noticed the same trend. I rarely see the sole Petco, or the sole Coors team, dominate the league. It can be successful, but it will rarely go over 85-90 wins. [/quote:0e39212669]

I agree but its just so much more fun to go against the grain.

But for the sake of argument for every team that does take the "similar club" approach and go with the trends of their division how far off are the losers of the division compared to who wins it? Is there that much more separation between the winner of these division in a "same style trend" and the losers compared to the team that takes the Petco/Kaufman approach?

Sure someone in a similar style division should in my opinion have a greater chance to go 85-90+ because they have more things in their favor. If their team is better than the rest of their division now their even more likely to do well vs them since the away parks benefit them.

That philosophy is why I like #4. I just chose to believe it doesn't work for me when I try it because of managers like you Marcus and others who just kick my butt :)

I go with sluggers, and build a strong pen (example Shields, wagner, Heilman/Helling ) with cheap matchup starters. I am experience that approach on two other teams and so far its interesting, one team lost out of the playoffs by a tie breaker, and the other team didnt have ace closer. finished dead last, but I like it so much, i am trying it two other teams, both have stud closer playing at ameriquest, i let you guys know about the results when the season is done.
