Visick ( i think it was you), you were helping me with my fenway staff before we were rudely interupted  I do like these new
how do you think someone like maddux would do at fenway and
would my starting rotation be strong enough if i cut oliver perez?
it would be
wright, peavy, carpenter and sabathia.

Don't get me wrong, I think Perez is a stud BUT he's not a Fenway pitcher.

Maddux would be a decent value @ Fenway. He would do well in Wrigley too as well as a few pitchers parks. He'll get lit up vs. lefties in pure hitting parks though.

I like Wright, but he's kinda expensive and not a * SP.
Peavy and Carpenter are good. Peavy can pitch anywhere as Carpenter will be good vs. alot of righty hitting teams. Be careful with him in hitting parks vs. team with a few lefty bats. (He's 14-5 right now for me @ Wrigley w/ 3.59 ERA, 1.20 WHIP).

Sabathia is a tough call. He's tough on righties, but he's got BPHR's, albeit low risk. I happen to like rev. LH's in Fenway/Wrigley. In 2003, Lee was the man for me, and others. I like Pettitte and Alvarez the most.
I've seen good results with Beurhle and Ramirez too. Lowry has been good for me as well.

I'm concerned about your pen. I'd go with Dotel OR Speier, not both.
A reverse LH would be nice too. Like Cormier.

What are your divisional stadiums again?

Your hitters:

I don't like a few guys here.

Varitek
Cabrera
Pierre ( Unless he's gonna DH. His arm will kill you.)

Opponents are Yankee, Ddger adn SBC.
Varitek has done well for me at fenway.
Pierre may not throw well but I have good arms on the corners so if someone wants to get aggressive it will even out.

im concerned what you will do at 3b?????

ramirez as a 4 def will kill you , yet you cant dh him because of ortiz....

id try to move big papi and keep ramirez at fenway....

then youll have some $$$ to get much better pitching , i think you need it especially in the bullpen

Beecause you have Pujols at 1B, 8M+ for Ortiz(Even as a DH) would be better spent elsewhere because at 1-3 for LHH over 81 games will kill a lot of his BP HRs. I would try to find a high average hitter with some natural HRs instead. OR if he is available - Morneau, who has a lot more Natural HRs from the leftside and is half the price. The rest could be used on more pitching. Lefty reverses and or SP's with low hits and no or low HRs vs the right side are best for Fenway.

:?:
Morneau NatHRs vs L: 3, vs R: 9.1
Ortiz NatHRs vs L: 4.8 vs R: 9.1

Regarding hiding Pierre's arm in between 2 negative arms, remember centerfield still gets a majority of the chances, and gets them by default in some cases when no outfield position is specified in the tables...no matter what your settings are.

That's the reason most folks are particular about their CFs not having worse than a range of 2, because the CF position is more range dependent (like ss, 2b) but errors hurt in the outfield generally more than the infield because they tend to be more than 1 base errors, comparatively, to similarly ranged/errored positions on the infield.

I'm not worried about having big papi hitting in front of Pujols even in fenway. he wont face that many lefties and will get intentional walks, even against lefties. I have done well everytime i have had pierre and lately i havent had him and have stunk. so i am riding him.
