Using LeCroy/Valentin at catcher, Pena/Niekro at 1B & Thomas at DH vs lhp's. D Lee, Konerko, Clark, Giambi, Edmonds & Sexson available in FA. There are four Safeco's in the league, along with a Shea and a PNC. Two Safeco's and a Minutemaid in my division. Aside from staying under the cap, $$$ is no object in the pursuit of the longball.

Not too crazy about Lecroy Meself. Much rather have Fasano, gave me 39 HRs in Wrigley.

Might also take a look at reggie sanders.

Both Fasano and Sanders seem to be avail. according to Berce.

Clark of the ones you mentioned would be my 1st choice.

Good luck.

I considered Fasano. One league I was in LeCroy hit 27 HR vs LHP's. I will check out Fasano though. I wouldn't need Valentin with Fasano and he ould also be able to bomb away in Minutemaid and I could get some pitchers.

I just figured that for only .75M over Lecroy Fasano gives you a few more HRs. I think that with Lecroy you pay for OBP whereas with Fasano you pay for SLG. Either way I think you'll be fine there.

If you still like lecroy you can try platooning in 1st. I like Niekro's card there. Only time I used him he was abit of a dissapointment though, but I still like that card a lot.

...or having the three can help cover INJ for Thomas. Just plenty of choices.

Sanders

Postby PAULMINICUCCI » Tue Oct 24, 2006 12:02 am

I have Sanders at Coors and he has 27 HRs in 303 abs after 126 games. I have 254 HRs. Clark 52, Glaus 37, Kent 37, A Ramizez 28, Vlad 28 and sanders 27.

254 after 126 is OK, but still only about 325 for a year. 400 is probably unobtainable unless absolutely everything falls right, especially opposition ballparks. There are not as many total slugfests as there were in previous years. I like Sanders, but I have Thomas at DH, who is very similar and Gibbons in RF who I think can hit 40 with all the LH parks. I have had him hit about 40 in the past. Floyd in LF has hit over 50 for me in US Cell.

19 dingers in 6 gamers=

On Pace for 513, sure some production might come down...but A-Rod, Glaus, Floyd, Gibbons and Utley will surely hit much better.

Lookin' good DJ. 8)
