Using a 4 man rotation?

Postby jc314 » Wed Nov 29, 2006 6:28 pm

I noticed a few managers were using 4 man rotation 3 pitchers that can pitch on three days rest and another starter and a cheap backup. Is there any negative effects that might occur by doing this or is it ok in this game. I'm new to strat o matic and i'm not sure how the injuries work with pitchers. I also noticed pitchers don't have a injury rating like hitters do. Any feedback on this would be appreciated. Thanks

Pitchers marked with an * can pitch on 3 days rest. That's where you are seeing 4 man rotations. Since SOM requires 5 pitchers with an S rating which is why you'll see a .50 SP in the mix.

There are no negative effects by using a 4 man rotation.

Pitchers can get injured on a roll for the DH. Not sure what the roll is. In this case HAL will use your cheap pitcher.

The injury roll for a pitcher in a DH league is 6-12 when the DH bats against him. (i.e., a .5% chance every time the DH bats.)
