Hope you can help me out. I am having horrible luck with Bronson Arroyo. His ERA is over 6. Other teams in my division are MM Field (2) and Kaufmann Stadium.

Woods, Loaiza nd Westbrook are available. Has anyone used any of these pitxhers? Could one of them help me out?

Thanks

Steve

Since you've got 2 MM's in your division, you're gonna want a RH that gets righties out.

I'd go with:

Wang
Webb
Loe
Weaver
or a cheap favorite J. Johnson

I would go with Webb/Weaver/Radke/Loaiza. They can be very good to dominant in all those road parks and can pitch well in your home park. They also have the "*" rating, which is important as you will need them to more than spot start.

Keep Arroyo. Why trade one R-XR for another with the resulting $ hit. Half of the batters he has faced have been lefties. That percentage will come down especially as you get back into divisional play where there are a total of 9 LH/SH amongst your three foes. I have Arroyo on a team under similar circumstances to yours (playing in a pitchers park, 2 MM's in the division) and he will win 20. Some of the replacements mentioned you can't afford without a second move, some don't have a *. If you are set on dumping him stick with a hard righty and get J. Johnson.

I guess I will hang on to Arroya

Well, Webb is a good guy. I had him on another Comerica team and he did quite well. But I would have to do some dismantling which I probably don’t want to do.

Last night at MM, Arroyo gave up a granny to Guerrero along with 4 hits in 2 and 2/3 innings. Arroyo doesn’t have many HRs on his card against rhp, so I guess some of the runs he is giving up are from good die throw on the hitter’s cards. I guess if I am patient, I should start getting some die casts that end up on his card.

Anything I can do on the manager strategy side to get him on the winning track? If I had my IBB setting more aggressive and there had been an open base, would Guerrero been issued a free pass? I think I then would have faced Valentin. Do we know if Hal thinks along those lines?

Thanks
