How to Approach My Division

Im in Candlestick '62 a total pitchers park. My division is filled with hitters parks, Yankee Stadium '27, Baker Bowl '15, and Polo Grounds '36. Should I leave my team set for my park or should I adjust a little for my away games. Does having the toughest park to hit in in the entire league help or hinder me?

If you do it right(which isn't easy), it should be an advantage as none of the other teams are set up to play you. It can also be a disaster, as you are not going to be set up to have the advantage on the road in any of your division opponents park. It's tough to come up with a team that could win in those circumstances IMO. I play moderately and have only faced it once or twice. Obviously, you need to get a little more offense than you usually would in a pitchers park. You may want to check out a pitchers park/hitting park platoon or two. I have used Hunter and Vukovich effectively pitchingwise in that situation.

You are stacked. I assume this must be a greater than $80mm league. My only suggestion might be to upgrade defense at 2B and/or SS. You first seven hitters should have no problem generating runs with Goslin potentially hitting seventh for you. You have quite a few potential 15 game injuries and ideally if you could get someone like Schoendist to play 2b I think it wouldn't hurt. Even Doerr might not be terrible batting 9th with his good clutch, great "D" and a little pop for the hitting parks. You have potentially a stellar defensive team as well as a power packed offense, and the two most important defensive positions are manned by your weakest offensive players, who wouldn't be terribly missed for a defensive upgrade. Of course, I do have the record for second fewest errors and I like to have a good "D". I think it would improve your overall team to upgrade defense at at least one of those positions.
