If you have a couple of speed guys and play in Kauffman(2007) should you be aggresive with stealing and base running?Or is the normal setting the way to go with most everything? If I have a power team I set the bunting and hit and run to conservative.Any helpful tips? Thanks,
Richard

I put baserunning on "aggressive", simply because when I play the computer on "normal", it seems too conservative, and "very aggressive" seems to be a bad idea with pretty much every setting other than bullpen. I have been trying to get some studies done on this, but they're time-consuming :(

As for stealing, I don't go to "aggressive." I don't want more attempts if the extra attempts will be at bad percentages, and that seems to be what "aggressive" does. To me, "conservative" setting plus "steal more" on the good stealers is the right play regardless of your personnel. If you do have good basestealers, you'll still get more SB attempts than if you didn't have any. And the SB% will be exceptional.

I always start aggressive on both usually leaving the base running that way unless I notice some really good arms in the of. I keep an eye on the team manager statistics during the season and if I fall below .650 I reduce it by 1 level. If it goes above .750 I increase it.
